27 Wołyńska Infantry Division Army - The largest guerrilla tactical link on Polish soil. Formed from pre-existing partisan conspiracy, and mobilized soldiers Inspectorates AK: Kovel, Lutsk and Rovno. Organized from January to March 1944 with the task of carrying out "Tempest" in Volhynia. After the mobilization of the 27th WDP had 7,300 officers and soldiers.

Division assisted the local self-defense of the Polish population in the fight against troops of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army [UPA], fought with the German forces and regular troops przeciwpartyzanckimi German frontline troops

Since the spring of 1944, the division proceeded to implement the action? Storm? . In 1944, the division fought several major battles: the Volyn Vladimir [February 23], in Hołobach [March 9] and Zasmykach [17 March]. The fighting has been to work with the staffs of the Red Army's operational relationship.

Commander Lt.-Col. "Olive" did not benefit from proposals in the reorganization of divisions of regular army unit and the subordination of the Red Army. Surrounded by the Germans in Division IV, 2-21 Kowel fought heavy battles in 1944. Not having received the promised Soviet aid, broke toward Wlodawa, incurring huge losses [10 and 50% of the personnel of individual branches]. On April 18, 1944 Lieutenant-Colonel was killed. Once again surrounded the end of May 1944, part of the forces broke through the Pripyat, leaving the rear of the Soviet front, where the cluster commander was arrested, and after disarming the soldiers drafted into the army Berling. The rest of the division withdrew to the west.

June 7 crossed the Bug and moved to Forest Parczewskich Lublin, where he was liberated on July 21 Kock, Lubartów and Firlej.
After the Red Army division was forced to lay down their arms in Skrobowie 25 July 1944.

Some officers of the 27th WDP Army were sent to labor camps or imprisoned in the Soviet Union.
